Incorporated in 1978, Thiel’s Wheels has always been a business owned and operated by motorcycle enthusiasts. The dealership was originally located on West Wyandot Ave, with Yamaha and Kawasaki, and later added Harley-Davidson in 1985. In 1997 Thiel’s Wheels was moved to its current location off of US 23 / SR 53.
The business was sold in 2006 to Marc and Amy Ingwersen of Findlay, OH. In 2009 the dealership added a 16,700 sq. ft. warehouse, and in 2010 Triumph was added to the Motorcycle lineup, making Thiel’s home to 5 brands, Harley-Davidson, Honda, Kawasaki, Triumph and Yamaha.
The Thiel’s Wheels Service Department does a variety of services on all makes and models, from basic tune-ups to building custom motorcycles, specializing in performance motor work by Jon Miller. Along with numerous other nationally accredited credentials, Jon Miller built the Thiel’s Wheels / Jon Miller Race Team drag bike that currently competes in the AHDRA (All Harley Drag Racing Association). The team started competing in the early 90’s and has consistently held a winning track record. They have set a total of 16 National Records and 7 World Records, making the Thiel’s Wheels / Jon Miller Drag Bike the fastest 45-degree pro-stock Harley-Davidson in the world! In 2013 the race team plans to begin racing in the NHRA!
